bo = bind off

Binding off or casting off means to take your knitting off your needles as a finished work or even for a few stitches within a pattern (it could be for a buttonhole or small opening). Below is a simple/ basic bind off. It consists of knitting the first two stitches and then taking the first stitch on the right needle up ond over the second stitch to come off the needle tip. That results in the first bind off. To continue, simply knit the next stitch on the left needle and repeat the same process as before on the right needle. See the following video for a tutorial.
