Knitting in the Round Book Giveaway

I know it’s risky starting a giveaway on April 1st. I mean who’s going to play the fool and enter a giveaway that might just be a prank, right? Except you guys know me and know that I love to host giveaways. If you think it’s just another April Fools Day joke, wait until tomorrow. Then come back and enter to win one of two copies of the Beginner’s Guide to Knitting in the Round from Leisure Arts.

Thanks to Leisure Arts for providing the books for the giveaway!

“For beginners who are ready to advance beyond flat knitting, working in the round is a natural progression,” says designer Kristin Omdahl. “It alleviates a lot of seams,” she explains, “which gives a better structure to your projects, as well as making them more pleasing aesthetically.” Kristin created the designs in this book to be easy projects for learning to use double pointed and circular knitting needles, as well as combination projects that transition from one type of needle to the other.

Great for gifts, projects include a Headband, Cowl, Lace Capelet, Pouch, Baby Hat, Fingerless Mitts, Baby Blanket, and Family Hat in sizes for toddlers, children, women, and men.

I’m sure you saw my video tutorial for the Fingerless Mitts a few weeks ago. They have a unique stitch pattern that is so easy to knit. This is a fantastic pattern to use for gifts or donations because they knit up so quickly. It’s also a good way to become familiar with using DPNs.

I would love to win this to learn more about knitting in the round with needles.

  18. I have bought circular needles, and have been wanting to try them, but I keep grabbing my regular ones. As a novice knitter, I think they intimidate me.
I love the look of knitting in the round, I think it’s just a matter of wanting to make something bad enough that I’ll bit the bullet and try them.

I have mastered crochet, but knitting has been challenging. I have so much beautiful yarn in my stash that is crying out to be knitted. I could use all the help I can get. This book sure would be a good place to start.

  24. love your patterns

  25. Would love to win this book. I have always used single needles but have wanted to learn to use circular needles for quite a while. I have been afraid of using them, thinking it would take longer and more concentration to complete projects, though I do see the point of not having to seam projects.

  26. I am very new to learning needle knitting. I do have needles that I have purchased so I can start my learning process. Maybe having a book is what I need to get me started, so I’ll have a visual to fall back on. So I would definitely love this book🤗

  27. This would be an awesome addition to anyone’s knitting library! Good luck to all!

I own circular needles, but I have a fear of using them. Owning this bok would help me out greatly. Having step by step instructions from a book in front of me would be a blessing to take my needlework one step further. I love learning new things.

  41. Thanks for the chance to win this book. I am attempting my first stocking cap in the round on needles. I have made several on the loom and challenged myself to make one with needles. We will see how it turns out.
