How to Weave a Zig Zag Twill Potholder

How to Weave a Zig Zag Twill Potholder

Inside: The Zig Zag Twill Potholder full pattern including written instructions, link to weving chart and full tutorial videos for both right and left handed weavers.

I’ve been having a blast weaving these colorful potholders.

My latest one is the Zig Zag Twill Potholder. This one uses a fun, two color design that resembles a classic ripple crochet design.  These hot pads are fully reversible and take just minutes to weave.

NOTES

The zig zag twill design uses two colors, one for the warp (vertical strands) and one for the weave (horizontal strands).

You place all the warp loops on the potholder loom first.  Then you weave the horizontal loops according to the row instructions from the top row down to the bottom.

You can find a detailed chart of this design at Piglets Potholders Patterns: Zig Zag Twill Potholder (18-peg) (Shared with permission under Creative Commons license CC-by-SA)
