Beautiful Loom Knit Lacy Tablecloth

Beautiful Loom Knit Lacy Tablecloth

Inside: Free loom knit Lacy Tablecloth pattern with written instructions for 5 common sizes, lace chart and tutorial videos for both left and right handed loom knitters.

The Lacy Tablecloth will look stunning on your dining table.  This project uses a medium-weight, mercerized cotton yarn that washes well and shows off the beautiful lace design.

This pattern features the lofty lace stitch pattern with a garter stitch border.  If it looks familiar, that’s because it matches my Lacy Placemat and Lacy Table Runner patterns.

MEASUREMENTS
Measurements are for finished size after blocking.
52” x 70” (132 x 178 cm)
60” x 84”(152.5 x 213 cm)
60”x 102” (152.5 x 259 cm)
60” x 120”(152.5 x 305 cm)
70” x 120” (178 x 305 cm)

NOTES

Sizing: I included 5 common sizes, but every table is different.  The sizes listed will fit on most tables, but follow the instructions below for a custom fit.

Measuring: Measure the width and length of your table then add on how much you want it to drape over the side.  If you want a 6” drop (overhang), add 12” to your measurements.  This will cover your table with 6” hanging down around the sides.

Width: Since the lace stitch pattern uses a multiple of 6 +3, every additional 6 stitches cast on adds approx. 1.25” (3.2 cm) to the width.  Add or remove stitches in groups of 6 to fit your desired width.

Length:  Each 12-row repeat adds about 1.25” (3.2 cm).  Add or remove repeats from the standard lengths listed above to fit your desired measurement.

Blocking: Your tablecloth will be smaller than the listed size to allow for blocking to the finished size.  Don’t skip this step as it opens up the lace design. See my tutorial video: How to Wet Block: https://youtu.be/PJmjUHj7P_Y

Flexee Loom setup:  I recommend setting up your Flexee loom so each repeat of the lace stitch pattern is on a different link color.  (See image.)  Start with 1 light link, then 3 dark links.  Continue alternating groups of 3 light links followed by 3 dark links until you have enough pegs for the size you are making.   The blue stitch marker marks Peg 1 of the lace stitch pattern.
