Make her proud! Knit Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth

Make her proud! Knit Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth

Inside: Needle knit Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth pattern with tutorial videos for both left and right handed knitters.

Classic, timeless, and able to handle the toughest jobs. That’s Grandma. We can also say that about Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth pattern.

I always called my grandma, Mamaw. After Mamaw passed away my grandfather, Papaw, gave me some of her knitting needles. Included with the needles was, of course, some yarn, and a special treasure.

I have Mamaw’s handwritten dishcloth pattern with her partially finished dishcloth still on the needles!

Handwritten pattern from my Memaw with her knit sample.
Memaw’s pattern and WIP

I remember Mamaw knitting this pattern. It was the “go to” pattern for everyone back then. It was a favorite with good reason. It’s simple to knit, easy to memorize and is easily adjusted to any size.

Knit this iconic dishcloth from corner to corner in garter stitch by using some simple increases and decreases.  Once you learn the techniques this pattern will be sure to become your favorite too.

New to knitting? I’ve got a How to Knit Beginner Video Series to teach you ALL the basics.

I love grandma's favorite. Have used it to make many baby blankets, too.
